Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford has quickly grown through the ranks since his blazing start last season. He started on a brilliant note and he has tried sustaining it despite the rising expectations.

The player, who is one of the brightest young players in Europe, is set to lead the attack when they face Manchester City at the Etihad. It is a make or breakgame as clubs scamper for the maximum points to make the Champions League.

Since Wayne Rooney burst into the spotlight eons ago, Rashford – alongside Spurs Dele Alli – is the most exciting British talent. In an interview with the Telegraph, Rashford revealed how street soccer has helped him professionally. He said the urge to play despite the circumstances has proved helpful.

Louis van Gaal gave him an opportunity to play in the Europa League against Midtjylland. He scored a brace and booked an opportunity against Arsenal. Since then he has not looked back.

On managing pressure and asking for Rooney’s advice, he said: “I’ve not had to ask him because I think I’m coping well with it, but I’m sure if he thought that I wasn’t then he’d be the first one to have a chat with me about it.” Read more »

Gary Neville is baffled by the statements of Leicester players

Gary Neville is baffled by the statements of Leicester players after Claudio Ranieri was sent packing.

As per Neville, the players are looking to defend themselves and prove that they didn’t have any hand in that axing. But, they shouldn’t do that. They shouldn’t entertain such questions at all. For them to say things in their defence, it is making them look like dishonest.

Neville says that he is waiting for some more lads in the Foxes squad to speak on the issue in the next few days because so far what he has heard is disappointing.

There’s a word around that it’s only after the complaints made by a large fraction of the playing group that the hierarchy came to the conclusion of removing Claudio Ranieri from his chair.

In Neville’s opinion, it’s wrong on the part of the hierarchy to allow the players to speak things about the coach on his back and then take that into account to make a decision of the coach’s removal. Read more »
